Matt Britten was born in Royal Oak, Michigan, and was raised on a steady diet of McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets.

He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, Matt appeared in numerous productions with the Syracuse University Drama Department and Syracuse Stage. He also studied at Shakespeare’s Globe in London, with the Aaron Sorkin Entertainment Practicum in Los Angeles, and the Arielle Tepper Madover’s Tepper Semester in New York City.
Matt recently produced and directed BJ: A Musical Romp, which won Best Musical in the Planet Connections Theater Festivity in NYC.
In 2008, Matt hosted MySpace/NBC News coverage of the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. He was honored to interview a variety of politicians, celebrities, and musicians including Dennis Kucinich, Seth Meyers, Star Jones, Nelly, and…wait for it…Craig of Craigslist.
Matt enjoys performing improv comedy, and has trained with Second City and Upright Citizens Brigade.
Seasonally from 2001 to 2007, Matt entertained guests at Walt Disney World in Florida. He appeared in parades and shows throughout the parks.
Matt also wants you to know that he has appeared in many shows that never made it to your television, including Comedy Central’s “Evan & Gareth Are Trying To Get Laid,” and CBS’s “Can Openers.”
Matt currently resides in New York City. His birthday is January 3.
